What is the difference between “Dom”, “Kathedrale” and “Münster” I disagree. The is a church in Rheinmünster-Schwarzach which was a monastry until 1806 which is just called "Das Münster". No location names attached :-). |

Simple but interesting German literature Kafka was not German? He was a German living in Prag, what use to be part of the Hungaro-Austrian Empire, became later CSR, than Germany, then CSSR and now Czech Republic. |

Ungeziefer and its meanings and connotations Let me try: Right wingers call left wingers "ticks" and left wingers call international investors "locusts". |

“statt dass” is not good German? I think it is grammatically correct but I'd never write it that way. I might say though. |

How to translate the word “download” to German? Ich denke, daß "download" im Deutschen angekommen ist. Man kann ja auch 'upgeloadet' und 'downgeloaded' sagen. |

Plural of Batch Natürlich nicht :-) Im Deutschen würde ein zweites Bleck Kekse backen. Im Englischen "another batch of cookies". |

Plural of Batch Batch kann sowohl eine Software als auch ein Los, eine Charge etc. Wenn ich ein Blech Kekse backe, dann spreche ich von einem "Batch". Wenn's dann noch ein Blech wird, dann kommt "the 2nd batch". Ich würde auch für "Batches" stimmen und in der Fußnote erklären, daß Charge gemeint ist. |
