comment Usage of Perfekt and Präteritum in the spoken language
@Jan The title is very important, because the search engines give a very high score for the words in it. Please do not remove it from the title. I don't really care for the rest.

@Jan I saw the word preterite for the first time in your edit, and that includes 4 years of learning German. Based on that, I must say it is not a common way to refer to Präteritum.

revised Usage of Perfekt and Präteritum in the spoken language
While technically correct, please do NOT translate Präteritum and Perfekt in the title: The students won't find it.

@ThorstenDittmar Well, that is how it is in the book. Triple-checked. Interesting.

@ThorstenDittmar I am not sure I follow. If your question is about the quoted sentence, then yes, it is how it is written in the book (I have double-checked).

comment Why are German numbers backwards?
+1 I believe you are speculating right! Just watch little children while they are learning how to count with numbers between 10-99.
