Do Latin loanwords conserve their gender? @ladybug: "Except sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, public health and peace, what have the Romans ever done for us?!" - But that wasn't a history lesson, IIRC. |

Wie viele sind “ein paar”? @StefanoPalazzo: "Ein Paar Handschuhe" always means two, but "ein paar Handschuhe" can mean more of them. If you take "ein paar Handschuhe" out of a box of 100 latex gloves (and if you ever did, you know) it usually are "ein paar", not "ein Paar". |

Learning German helpful for any other language learning In Latin you have to learn the declension class for every noun by heart, too. At least, in German we don't have five of them and the casus (not casi!) are a little less in numbers, too... |

Unterschied zwischen “untersagen” und “verbieten”? Mir ist so, als würde untersagen im Aktiv durchaus verwendet. Der Amtsschimmel untersagt nämlich persönlich, wenn es etwas zu untersagen gibt... |

“gäbe” vs. “gebe” Was möchtest Du wissen? - Mir scheint, Du hast die Frage schon beantwortet: Konjunktiv I ist wertfrei, Konjunktiv II der Irrealis, also wertend. - Wäre die Überprüfung der weitergegebenen Aussage eine Wertung? |
