comment Any German books with included vocabulary?
@Em1 yes, translation is not word-by-word, but you can't really learn words translated word-by-word. I'm sure you wouldn't understand if I'll write 'thank you from the mountain', or ask, if you 'divide my sentence' ;)

In Poland, we write the digits exactly the same, with exception of 9 that is round like 6

People use it, even young (30-ties), at least in my office, but it's, well, Bayern.

comment Comparing German words for different contexts of “commute” to mean traveling to work?
@fzwo I think that's what English 'communiting' is supposed to mean. The alternative to 'commuting' would be 'travelling'.

comment Wie ist die richtige Schreibweise – “geliket”? “geliked”?
Bei twittern gibt's keine grosse Gefahr, aber wenn man eine Form wie 'gelikt' sieht, wird man das nicht als 'gelickt' lesen wollen?

Noch 2 Cents: bei 'liked' du mindestens weisst, dass es um ein Englisches Wort geht. 'Liken' ist in Gefahr, als 'licken' ausgesprochen werden.
