comment Which German word contains the most ä, ö, ü, and ß in any variation?
I would suggest not looking for the word with the most äöüß, but with the largest ratio of them (and strictly longer than two letters).

Well, I didn't say they were. But saying "Both are correct. Really. No kidding.", I felt something left out. Namely, that native speakers would probably never use either sentence.

@collapsar I only used "That's not my fault" figuratively. Of course I agree with you about no clear-cut answers.

@collapsar That's not really my fault. Even in a list, listing gestern war ich draußen with ich ging am Abend ins Kino leaves the listener confused. Gestern nachmittag would be much better. Personally, I interpret my example 1(b) as meaning gestern abend.

I'd never say either sentence.

comment Difference between “Notizen” and “Aufzeichnungen” to mean notes
@Robert Ich denke, dass Aufzeichnungen auch inoffiziell und handschriftlich sein können. Z.B. "Bislang unveröffentlichte Aufzeichnungen von Erich Kästner erscheinen am 35. Mai im Südsee Verlag."

Make that a "your native reader's eye, with the exception of Vogel612", then. =)

Just go for it, I'll tell you if something went wrong. (I'm counting 4.)

Please pay attention to upper case when writing German nouns. I understand that few other languages care as much about capitalization as German does, but every time you write a lower-case German noun, you are poking a glowing hot iron rod in your (native) reader's eye.

"Verben sind die einzigen Wörter die konjugiert werden können. Ob Zeit oder nicht ist egal.": Nomen inflektieren (deklinieren) je nach Fall.
