comment Is there a 'da-' construct with 'ohne'? if not, are there any more prepositions that can't form 'da-' constructs
In the book bummi linked, why is it "GOtt" and not "Gott" throughout?

comment Can you invert sentence structure without sounding like Yoda?
I'm wondering now how Yoda speaks when dubbed into OSV languages.

@keyboardsurfer I don't think there is, which is why the loanword has been adopted.

I guess sometimes you might want to establish subtly that you are or aren't a couple.

comment Is there an equivalent prestige dialect of German in the same way Received Pronunciation is to English? If so, how did it come about?
For what it's worth, Received Pronunciation is far from universally considered a prestige accent these days, even within England. It's even perceived negatively in some quarters, which I think unfair and unfortunate. Having a "regional" accent is de rigeur in recent decades.

An den definitiven Artikel hab ich nicht gedacht - könnte sein dass man 'the' vor Wörten für Schlangen und Fruchten in der Alltagssprache komparativ selten sagt(e).
