Es gibt keinen korrekten Weg, dies zu sagen. Man müsste dann sagen: D Handtäsche vo dere Frou. Bei Namen gibt es in einigen Dialekten noch eine Genitiv-Form: Fritzens Schwager. Aber NIE Fritz' Schwager. Und das geht auch nicht für die Handtasche. NIE.

The answer doesn't mention the obvious and important difference between 'senken' (aktiv) and 'sinken' (passiv) which is the first level of error. If such a sentence should be attempted, then by using 'sinkenden Hauptes'.
