Anglizismus – Influences of English upon German on a linguistic and a symbolic level
The transfer of language material from English to German, which may manifest itself as a direct adoption of the English word or phrase (e.g. "nobody is perfect"), as a literal translation imposing a new meaning and linguistic pattern to the German word or phrase, as an English-style linguistic transformation of German grammatics, punctuation, etc., and as a new creation of an English word or phrase only used in German.
