The thing here in German is, while you can always add 'nice' words like "please", "Kindly" etc, there is an entirely different way to conjugate verbs such that they sound more polite. This is known as Konjunktiv zwei.
I have found this video from Easy German to be a good primer on this topic, you can also check out the Early exercises of duolingo, also this website may help you.
You can say:
Darf ich Sie um Ihre Unterstützung bitten?
and:
Können Sie uns bitte bei diesem Thema unterstützen?
